Someone seems to be going after the people of our year at Hogwarts. Particularly the Hufflepuffs, apparently. That seems unsettling.

I was in a shop today, standing behind a witch who was completely ignoring her screaming, five year old son. It was disgusting. He was disrupting everyone in the shop and making the entire experience of shopping even more unappealing than it already was.

I despise the way parents allow their children to act up in public. I feel like an old man saying this, but had I acted like that in a public shop my mother would have whipped my arse, and when we got home my father would have done the same. And they would have been right. One does not learn manners and decorum by throwing fits in shops.

We need to get a move on our assignment. The Dark Lord must be displeased that it has taken us this long.

I cannot believe how many people actually seem to care about some damn list. Frankly, I don't think private citizens should be subject to that kind of press or attention anyway. I suppose if it were a list of celebrities they'd have brought it on themselves, but honestly I think it's cause for invasion of privacy.

How do they collect their data, exactly? Did they follow their subjects around? That's stalking.

What ended up happening with Travers, then? I haven't seen any reports of violence against him in the Prophet. Am I to assume that means things went well?

Masked individuals in Knockturn Alley. Was that us, then?

I despise thieves.

I do not think this is technically your jurisdiction, but I should probably report this to someone. My father and I have apprehended three young men who were on our property trying to steal one of our snidgets. As you know, we only have five of them, and after decades of petitioning for the permit to keep them I'll be damned if some little shit thinks he can steal any of them.

We've got the young men detained. They are not hurt, but they are not getting out, either. I suppose I ought to report them to the DMLE. I'll get around to it.

Is there anyone specific there I should contact, do you suppose?

Usually, my work doesn't allow me to be bored, but somehow, tonight, I am. It's odd.

I do not know if anyone on this journal network knew my cousin Jason Rue, but I wanted to thank those of you who have offered condolences. The arrangements are finally in place; his funeral and burial will be this afternoon at 3:00.

I have to be away for a few days. We've had a death in the family and we're in a bit of a crisis. I've never seen my aunt Vivian so upset. Unless there is an emergency, I ask to be left alone for a few days.

Alecto,

I know we have not spoken in some time, but I am coming to you for advice. If memory serves, you recently had a problem similar to one I am facing now and I believe it was resolved for you. I have an issue with a relative and I'd like to see it taken care of. If you'd care to, I would like to discuss the matter with you.

If anyone should be needing a crup, we've just had two litters born and more than we can handle, or need. Our deals are much more reasonable than the Magical Menagerie.
